Binocular Microscope

A binocular microscope refers to any microscope with two eyepieces. Compound or high power microscopes typically have two eyepieces which view images through a single high-power objective lens. The image presented to each eye is a flat, 2-dimentional ‘mono’ image.

The only difference between monocular compound microscope to binocular microscope is the fact that you can use both eyes with a binocular microscope when you are looking at the subject, and with a monocular microscope you can only look at the sample with one eye.
